No. Quartzite is a 100% natural stone quarried from the earth, while quartz is engineered from stone and resin. Quartzite gives a more natural, marble-like look.
Quartzite is much more resistant than marble. Sealed properly, it handles everyday kitchen use well, though we still recommend wiping acidic spills promptly.
